In conjunction with Red Ribbon Week, Lorena Middle School is hosting its First Annual "Dare to be a Reader" Read-a-Thon. Our goal is to create a life-long love of reading in our students. We want to encourage students to see the value of reading now and in the future. Teachers have been sharing what they are reading with students too. By encouraging reading, we are also encouraging achievement. We also hope to raise funds to build classroom libraries and purchase student incentives. Students will bring home information packets on October 20th. Students will gather sponsors for reading the week of October 26th.
Sponsors may pledge per minute or make a one time donation. Sponsors who live far away, or wish to use a credit card for their pledge, may even make a donation through the GoFundMe account set up for the Lorena MS Read-a-Thon. Click on the link here to go to the Lorena MS Read-a-Thon GoFundMe.
